This may be what did it. Tuesday around noon I placed this chaise toward the top of my yard and took a coffee break there. This is the section of my property with the best view. As usual, dogs came running to the fence barking violently; a man seemingly working on the house called them away promptly. In the background is the giant fence around this neighbor's property. Just barely, on the right you can see the tree that was planted near the corner of my yard. It died from a lack of watering. Why? Because virtually every time I approach this part of my property--for the last five months-- dogs run to the fence corner barking aggressively. It is 100 percent continuous. The dogs are on rare occasion called toward the house--this, only after alerting the residents to the severity of the problem. Almost always the barking will not stop until I go inside my house. One dog has been brutally killed and another has suffered a serious injury. |
